The contractor will switching the traffic light system at the Washington St @ High St intersection from the "dummy" traffic light in the middle of the intersection to the new overhead traffic lights during the day tomorrow.
This will require the power to the traffic lights to be shut down for several hours.The traffic at the intersection will be handled by the Police Department during this timeframe.
The traffic lights at the intersection of Eastern Ave at High St will remain in flash mode for the next couple of weeks to allow motorists time to become familiar with the new traffic lights.
