Patch: Why did you choose to start this business in Dedham?

Find out what's happening in Dedhamfor free with the latest updates from Patch.

GFCN: We chose to start our business in Dedham because of the amazing community here.  We knew that we had found something very special in this town.  Dedham Square is a place where everyone knows your name, which is a rare find today.  We also felt that we could really contribute to the health of the people here, doing our part to keep the town vibrant.

Patch: What distinguishes your business from others in the same industry?

GFCN: Our business is different from others in the industry because of both our business model and the services we provide.  We have grown as a business by becoming a part of the community through volunteer opportunities at road races, schools, the library, fitness facilities and community events.  We love the town of Dedham, and are happy to help its people be the healthiest they can be.

Our services are different from other chiropractic offices in the area because we offer a truly holistic approach to care.  We care for patients ranging in age from infancy to over 80 years, adjusting our treatment to the patient's particular needs.  We take into account all facets of health, from what a patient does for work to what they eat, to design the best plan for their well-being.  We also employ many treatments that are not available at other chiropractic offices, such as pregnancy care, rehabilitative care, nutritional advice, exercise, and soft tissue techniques including Graston Technique.

Patch: Any current challenges you face as a business owner?

GFCN: There are always challenges as a small business owner, but we feel that the biggest is keeping a balance between work and home. We have a tendency to get wrapped up in our work, spending 12-hour days at the office much of the week.  Though it can be tiring, if you love what you do, it doesn't feel like work.  We feel privileged to be a part of a profession that helps people to become a healthier version of themselves, allowing them to experience their lives to the fullest.

Patch: What's the best business advice you've ever been given?

GFCN: The best business advice that we've ever been given is to be a part of the community where you practice: live there, send your children to school there, show that you have pride in the place that you've chosen.  Though we don't currently live in Dedham, our goal is to become residents by the end of the year.
