Big Dan’s Tab starting 11/22

For the third straight year I am organizing Big Dan’s Tab to help folks who may be having a tough time during the holiday season between Thanksgiving and New Years.

Basically we have three locations that I purchase gift cards and leave at the counter for use. Big Bear Cafe, Mocha Java inside Blue Bunny Books and Cafe Fresh Bagel. Not only am I helping folks in our community I’m supporting small businesses.

I start these cards at $20 and then if community members would like to contribute they can either add value to the cards already set up at the locations or they can reach out to me directly and they can donate via Venmo.

Little things, small gestures can truly mean a lot to someone who may be alone at the holidays or be struggling financially. Having a warm spot to sit and have a cup of coffee and forget about their struggles for a few minutes could be the difference between a good day and a bad one.

I don’t have a lot of money to spare, but I hope this small gesture reaches folks every year that truly need it and I hope in some small way makes their day better.
