Jurors heard evidence gathered since her 2023 New Year’s Day disappearance, including incriminating internet searches, surveillance footage of cleaning-supply purchases, and DNA findings, before returning the guilty verdict in the Dedham courtroom.
   

• David L. Pendergast, 75 (theweektoday.com) — A longtime mental health advocate who grew up in Dedham and Weston has died at age 75, leaving behind a wide circle of family and friends. Visiting hours are set for Thursday, December 18, with a Funeral Mass and burial in Mattapoisett on Friday. His family invites memorial donations to support pancreatic cancer research instead of flowers.
