Convicted Teenage Prostitution Ringleader Sentenced to 12 years

Dedham Police assisted with the 2014 capture of Miriam "Keys" Kizzie.

A man who went by the alias “Keys,” already convicted of prostituting underage girls, was sentenced to more than 150 months in prison for sex trafficking crimes in a Boston U.S. District Court on Monday.

A statement from authorities says Miriam Kizzie, 21, who went by “Keys” and “Keyshaw,” pleaded guilty to the charges in February of 2015.

The prostitution, authorities say, consisted of posting provocative pictures of two girls, then 14 and 15 years old, on the internet, and overseeing them while they solicited sexual favors for money. This occurred primarily in Dorchester during 2013.

Kizzie shares an indictment for a separate underage prostitution case involving two different minors who were transported across the Massachusetts/Rhode Island border. Kizzie and the other individual involved with those alleged sex trafficking crimes, Anthony Pledger, 26, are said to be members of a street gang known as the “Thetford Avenue Buffaloes.”

Pledger’s sentencing is slated for May 28.
