Glyman understands local residents may not be fond of coyotes, but he hopes the injured animal will get the treatment it needs.

“Whether you like coyotes or not these traps are painful,” Glyman added.

It’s unclear if environmental police plan to investigate the origin of the trap or seek out the injured animal.
