Dedham HS Chorus Join Tufts University Beelzebubs Onstage

Dedham HS chorus will be performing with Beelzebubs for their final number on Apr. 29 at Mother Brooks Arts & Community Center.

From Dedham HS Chorus: The Dedham High School Chorus will join the Tufts University Beelzebubs onstage for the final number of the Beelzebubs’ show on Saturday, April 29, at Mother Brook Arts & Community Center.

The concert, part of the Mother Brook Performance Series, features the Beelzebubs, Tufts’ oldest male-identifying a cappella group. The world-renowned group’s motto is “Fun Through Song.”

The 16-member high school chorus will close the show, performing with the Bubs. Tickets for the Performance Series are available at the Dedham Community Theater and the Dedham Artists’ Guild, as well as on Mother Brook’s website at www.motherbrookarts.org/concerts- performances. Adult tickets are $20, children’s tickets (under 12) are $10. VIP tickets ($40) will include padded seats in the front of the performance; a complimentary glass of beer or wine; and a private gallery tour prior to the show.

The mission of the Mother Brook Arts & Community Center Performance Series is to bring major musical performances close to home at Mother Brook, which is housed in the beautiful former Avery School building at 123 High Street in Dedham. The concerts will take advantage of the building’s spruced-up performance space.

“We’re thrilled to have the Dedham High School chorus performing with the Bubs,” said Jean Ford- Webb, Executive Director of the Mother Brook Arts & Community Center. “The Beelzebubs are dynamic performers and tons of fun!”

Tickets are also available for the Boston Gay Men’s Chorus performance at Mother Brook on Sunday, May 21 at 3 p.m. The Gay Men’s Chorus, one of New England’s largest and most successful community-based choruses, will perform as part of their 35th Anniversary tour. BGMC’s diverse repertoire includes new music and classics. The set list will include a medley of Leonard Bernstein favorites on his centennial, as well as songs by the Beatles, Pharrell Williams, and George Michael. General admission will be $25, VIP tickets $40.
