Dedham School of Music Announces Hire of Second Executive Director

It is with great pride and pleasure that the Board of the Dedham School of Music announces to you that we have hired the second executive director for the Dedham School of Music. I would like to introduce you to Amy Fichera, who officially began her tenure with us this week.

Amy comes to us as a voice major, teacher, performer, businesswoman and entrepreneur. Throughout her interviews, she demonstrated understanding, sensitivity and an admiration of DSM's history, presenting interesting ideas on how she will sustain current DSM programs and lead its growth moving forward. With her strong professional background in business development and her experience as a teacher and performer, the board is confident that Amy will lead DSM to the next level of providing music education, access and appreciation for our community.

I know Amy is interested in getting to know as many of you and your students as soon as possible. She is spending time in the office this week and next and looking forward to the beginning of our school year.
