Man Arrested for Selling and Distributing Cocaine and Heroin to Dedham Residents

On Friday, police arrested Odelio Sepluveda-Guerrerro, at his home in Dorchester, for illegally selling and distributing heroin and cocaine to Dedham residents.

The arrest was a result of a six week joint investigation done by Dedham Police, Norfolk County Police Anticrime Task Force Agencies (NORPAC), Boston Police and the U.S. Department of Immigration and Customs.

"A search of the apartment and the suspect resulted in the recovery of drug packaging equipment, drug diluent, approximately 52 grams of heroin, approximately 40 grams of cocaine and $65,225," police said in a statement.

But this was not the first time Sepluveda-Guerrerro was in trouble with the law. He was also arrested in 2008, using the name "Roberto Caruccini," for similar charges.  He was then deported to the Dominican Republic, according to police.

Before returning to the Boston area, the suspect changed his name and then had his fingerprints surgically altered.

"We have worked several narcotics investigations where people have been deported for narcotics offenses," police said. "In some instances these people alter their fingerprints and acquire fraudulent Puerto Rican paperwork."

The telephones, money, safe, personal papers and identification cards are being held by the Dedham Police Department. All other evidence is being held by the Boston Police Department.
