During the November 19, 2025, meeting of the Disabled American Veterans, Chapter 42, Dedham, MA, Prospect Masonic Lodge of Westwood, MA presented a generous financial donation to support local disabled veterans, men and women who bravely served their country. The presentation continues a lodge tradition of financially supporting local organizations who satisfy unmet needs in the community.
Throughout American history, men who were military veterans and Freemasons have served their country in its hours of need. Men like Commander-in-Chief George Washington, Captain John Paul Jones, General George Pershing, General Douglas MacArthur, General Omar Bradley, and Colonel John Glenn are but a few who wore a military uniform and was a “Brother” in the oldest and largest fraternity in the world.
Freemasonry has a rich history of supporting charitable organizations in Massachusetts and throughout the country. It is one of the tenants of the fraternity, which encourages each member to find ways to help others. Prospect Lodge looks forward to continuing that tradition in the years ahead.
