Teen Bonfire Leads to Injury
A girl at the Friday night party injured her head after falling down a ledge.

The Westwood Police Department discovered an injured girl after breaking up a teen bonfire Friday night.
The police received a phone call at approximately 11:45 p.m. for a report of loud noises. Officers went to the location, which was near a condominium complex on High Street, and noticed that the teens appeared to have been drinking alcohol, as the presence of beer cans suggested.
After telling the teens the party was over, officers searched the area and put out the bonfire.

A recent press release indicates that police and fire personnel found a 16-year-old girl who apparently fell down a 20-foot rocky ledge, and injured her head. The teen, who was not drinking that night, became wedged between two boulders after her fall.
10 Westwood officers and firefighters carried the girl out of the woods in 20 minutes. She was taken to a Boston hospital with serious head injuries. Her name is not being released.
