UPDATED: Dover Police Make Drug Arrest in Middle School Parking Lot

The operator is being charged with alleged possession of drugs with the intent to distribute in a school zone, among other charges.

UPDATE- The Dover Police have identified the 17-year-old Needham resident arrested last Friday night in the D-S Middle School parking lost as Robert Wright. DPD said he will be the only person charged in the incident and no additional charges have been filed. According to police he will have a court hearing some time "in the next few months."

On Friday Feb. 24, 2012 Dover Police stopped a Honda CRV in the Dover Sherborn Regional Middle School parking lot. When they approached the vehicle officers observed marijuana and alcoholic beverages inside the vehicle. 

Based upon the officers' observations and items that were taken into evidence the operator is being charged with alleged; possession of drugs with the intent to distribute in a school zone, committing a drug violation near a school and being a person under 21 in possession of alcohol.

The vehicle's operator is a Needham, MA resident.

According to the Dover Police the 17-year-old male operator will be charged as an adult.

Police did not release the name of the operator because the incident is still under investigation.

DPD was doing a routine check of the regional school campus when they spotted the vehicle. Officers searched the area and did not find any other vehicles.

The time of the incident was 11:30 p.m.
