High School Mourns Classmate Killed In Crash
Grief counselors and therapy dogs will be at the school all week after 18-year-old Owen Bingham was killed in a car crash over the weekend.
DOVER, MA —Students at Dover-Sherborn High School will be mourning the loss of a classmate from a crash over the weekend as they return to class Monday.
Owen Bingham, 18, of Dover, was killed in an early-morning crash Saturday on Walpole Street near the intersection of Powder House Road.
Police say Bingham was driving four friends in an SUV when it came off the road and crashed, ejecting him from it.

Investigators say Bingham was pronounced dead at the scene.
The four other male passengers in the car included two 17-year-olds from Dover, an 18-year-old from Dover, and an 18-year-old from Sherborn. They were all taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

According to a statement from Dover-Sherborn High School's Principal John Smith, Bingham was a well-liked student who was a captain of the school's state championship golf team.
"He was loved by many peers and teachers," Principal Smith said. "The Dover-Sherborn community is a strong and supportive one. Our teachers, students, community leaders, and parents will help each other through these very difficult times. We are heartbroken."
Principal Smith said grief counselors and therapy dogs will be provided at the school all week.
Flowers and mementos were left at the site of the crash Saturday night by Bingham's friends before memorial services were held at Pilgrim Church in Sherborn, WCVB reported.
The Massachusetts State Police Collision Analysis & Reconstruction and Crime Scene Services sections are assisting Dover police with their investigation of the crash.
