Driver Hurt After Train Hits Truck In Sherborn: Police

Sherborn police said the incident happened late Wednesday at a rail crossing along North Main Street.

SHERBORN, MA — The driver of a pickup truck was injured late Wednesday night when a train hit his vehicle, according to Sherborn police.

The incident happened just after 10:30 p.m. Wednesday along North Main Street/Route 27 at a train crossing near Unity Lane. Sherborn police said it was a cargo train, not a passenger train, involved in the incident.

According to WHDH, the truck was found pushed about 200 feet down the train tracks. The driver was taken to a hospital in Boston, the station reported.

Sherborn police warned drivers to be cautious around train tracks.

"Please take this time to familiarize yourself with the Railroad Safety Tips. Always STOP when the railroad lights are flashing and LISTEN for an oncoming train," the department tweeted Thursday morning.
