Patch Picks: Local Summer Camps

1. Sweet Meadow Farm in Sherborn

Kids can play and learn how to care for a number of animals including: deer, wallaby, emu, baby cows, goats, chickens and baby chicks, guinea pigs, bunnies, hamsters, ferret, mini ponies, and horses.

2. Dover-Sherborn Soccer Club

The camp is run by Dover-Sherborn varsity head soccer coach Joe Gruseck who coached the Raiders to the 2010 Division 3 State Championship. The camp runs from August 15 to August 19. The cost for the camp is $225 for a full day and $125 for a half day. Family rates are also available for $250. For more information and to register email soccerpower2camp@verizon.net.

3. D-S Basketball Camp

The cost for Dover or Sherborn Residents for one week is $220 and for two weeks is $420. For non-residents the cost is $240 for one week and $460 for two weeks. For more information contact coach Grady at 508-254-0598 or rickgrady15@gmail.com.

4. Charles River Creative Arts Program

The camp is a multi-art summer program for kids ages 8-15. Enrollment must be for either four or eight weeks. The first session is from June 27 to July 22 and the second session runs from July 27 to August 20. The cost is $2300 per session with lunch included and there is a $500 per session deposit required. 5. Elm Summer Camp in Dover

The Elm Summer Camp offers a number of athletic and recreation activities, arts and crafts, music programs, and more. The camp is for kids in kindergarden through fifth grade. The camp runs for eight weeks from June 27 to August 19. For more information email info@elmsummercamp.com.
