Some cases have occurred in unvaccinated and some in partially vaccinated individuals, and some are breakthrough cases that have occurred in people who are fully-vaccinated.

Vaccination significantly reduces the risk of acquiring COVID and of serious illness and death, but because breakthrough infections occur, masking and testing in the event of any symptoms of COVID are very important.
