COVID-19 Update 2/14/22

COVID CASES IN DOVER

The number of new cases reported in Massachusetts by the Department of Public Health continues to fall, though the prevalence of COVID is still high. Cases that are asymptomatic, undiagnosed, or diagnosed with home antigen tests are not included in the Massachusetts Department of Public Health data, so the actual case numbers are likely several-fold higher.

Testing of MWRA wastewater continues to show declining levels of virus (see graph below), however, indicating that the downward trend in case numbers reflects true decline in infection rates.

Mask Mandates

The Board of Health rescinded the mask mandate in commercial buildings in Dover as of 2/11/2022, but it still strongly recommends mask use in indoor settings that are accessible to the public. The mandate remains in effect in municipal buildings.

Please continue to do your best to prevent the spread of COVID and contribute to reducing the case numbers as quickly as possible.
