COVID CASES IN DOVER

The number of new cases reported daily in Massachusetts by the Department of Public Health continues to fall rapidly, though the prevalence of COVID is still high. On February 4, the DPH reported that there were 40 new cases in Dover during the 14-day period between 1/16-1/29/2022 (mean 2.9 cases/day). In a separate DPH report, there were 16 cases during the 7-day period between 1/27-2/1 (mean 2.3 cases/day).

Cases that are asymptomatic, undiagnosed, or diagnosed with home antigen tests are not included in the Massachusetts Department of Public Health data, so the actual case numbers are likely several-fold higher. The test positivity rate in Dover fell to 8.48% during 1/16-1/29/2022, from a high of 17.68% in the 2-week period that ended on January 8.
