Woman Injured After Being Thrown From Horse in Dover

A woman was unconscious after falling from a horse in Dover today.

A woman was transported to Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston after being thrown from a horse in Dover Sunday.

The woman was unconscious for "a little bit" after the fall, which happened in a field at 168 Center Street in Dover near the Medfield line, according to Dover Police Officer Patrick Murphy.

"She’s conscious and alert now but she’s being transported into Boston for precautionary reasons," Murphy said.

There were no immediate details available about the woman but Officer Murphy did confirm that she was wearing a helmet at the time of the accident.

Dover Police received the call at about 10:40 a.m. according to Officer Murphy.
