Attempted Breaking and Entering Reported on Norton Ave

The following information was provided by the Easton Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, they do not indicate conviction. Events occurred between May 17 and May 19.

Friday - May 17, 2013

Suspicious Activity- 11:19 p.m.

Bay Road-A party came into the police station to report that a fire cracker was thrown onto his vehicle and caused burn damage. The party stated that the firework was thrown from the yard located one house north of the abandoned house on Bay Road at CVS. The house has a garage with the door open and the light on. Easton police verified malicious damage to the vehicle but officers were unable to locate juveniles.

Saturday- May 18, 2013

Accident- 8:36 p.m.

Depot and Foundry Street- State Police reported a two-car accident with possible injuries. Easton emergency officials responded.

Road Hazard - 8:50 p.m.

Depot and Washington Street- A caller reported a rowboat in the road creating a hazard. The officer removed it from the road and finds the owner. The boat was eventually removed by the owner.

Sunday- May 19, 2013

Breaking and Entering, Attempted- 2:31 a.m.

Norton Ave- A caller reported a downstairs window was just smashed and there is a possible breaking and entering. The caller saw a white male heading onto Foundry Street on foot. No further description was available. A State Police K-9 at the West Bridgewater/Easton line arrived and the K-9 was unable to track the suspect. All cruisers were cleared and a report was taken.

Fire- 4:17 p.m.

Massapoag Ave-Easton officials received multiple calls for a brush fire in the area of high tension wires on Massapoag. Easton Firefighters were notified and responded. The fire was extinguished.
