Easton Resident Arrested for Assault with a Dangerous Weapon

Monday, May 20 2013
Animal Incident- 7:18 p.m.
North Easton Post Office- A party came into Easton Police Station with a dog she found walking up Main Street without a collar. The dog is a buff colored terrier or poodle. The party walked around the area looking for a possible owner with no luck.

The party did not want to leave the dog in the pen and the police contacted animal control to see if the owner can be located.
The owner was eventually located.

Accident- 12:51 p.m.
Union Street- A 911 caller reported his wife witnessed a pick-up truck run over a mailbox on Union Street. The vehicle was heading towards Brockton and Brockton police were notified by the caller. The caller caught up to the operator who was unaware of hitting the mailbox and was returning to the scene.
An officer checked Union Street to the Brockton line and was unable to locate any damaged mailboxes.
Accident/Personal Injury- 7:11 p.m.
Prospect Street-A resident reported a one-car motor vehicle accident with an injury. The caller reported a car vs. a stone wall.
An officer confirmed property damage and an injury. The party was transported to Good Samaritan Medical Center.

Accident- 10:30 p.m.
Depot and Washington- An involved motorist reported an accident. Easton fire officials responded and one officer shuttled an operator to Michael's Plaza in Brockton.
No medical transport reported.
Thursday, May 23 2013
Assault with a dangerous weapon- 12:07 a.m.
Wedgewood Drive-A 911 call was abandoned and there was no answer on the call back. Upon arrival, officers reported a disturbance.
Timothy Cohen of 41 Wedgewood Drive was arrested for assault with a dangerous weapon (shod foot).
He was released on $240 bail.
