Oliver Ames Baseball to Play Winner of Sharon and Dighton-Rehoboth in State Tournament

The Tigers received a first round bye

The 15-5 Davenport Division Champion Oliver Ames baseball team received a first round bye in this year's South Sectional State Tournament.

The Tigers will play the winner of Friday's matchup between Sharon and Dighton-Rehoboth on Monday, June 3 at Frothingham Park, according to OA athletic director Bill Matthews. Monday's gametime will be 4 p.m.

Familiar foe Sharon finished the regular season with a 12-8 record. While OA defeated the Eagles, 7-3 on May 15, Sharon got the best of OA on April 24, beating the Tigers 8-3.

Dighton-Rehoboth finished the season atop the South Coast Conference with a 12-4 record.
