3 Cape Cod Students Hospitalized After Sharing Chocolate Bar: Police
Three students consumed part of a chocolate bar on the way to Dennis-Yarmouth Middle School. Then they were sent to the hospital.

YARMOUTH, MA — Three Dennis-Yarmouth Middle School students were sent to the hospital after consuming part of a chocolate bar on Thursday. Now, police have started an investigation.
At around 9:10 a.m., the building's school resource officer received notification that a student in the nurse's office was experiencing a reaction to an unknown substance they had consumed, police said.
The student said they consumed part of a chocolate bar on the bus before arriving at school. Two other students had also consumed the same item but were not showing any symptoms at that time, police said.

In response to the situation, the Yarmouth Fire Department was contacted, and the three students were promptly transported to Cape Cod Hospital for medical evaluation.
The Yarmouth Police Department said it is working closely with school officials to "thoroughly investigate" the incident. The parents of the students involved have been notified and are being kept informed of the developments, police said.
