5 Things: Deputy Fire Chief Demoted After Holding Beer Behind the Wheel in Photo

1. Falmouth's Fire Rescue Department deputy chief, Michael Small, has been demoted to "lieutenant" after he posted a picture on Facebook of himself holding a beer bottle behind the wheel. He has resumed work after being placed on paid, administrative leave.

2. The Woods Hole Film Festival continues today with a big line-up of independent films screenings including Quick Stop, A Fierce Green Fire and Our Nixon. Today's first screening is at 3 p.m. and the last is at 9 p.m. For more information on tickets and parking, check out our event guide.

3. Grab a blanket and head over to Peg Noonan park tonight for the next installment of the free summer movie series. Tonight's film is "Rise of the Guardians." The movie will begin at dusk.

4. Falmouth Community Television will host a public community potluck and grill-out tonight from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Everyone is welcome to bring a dish. Come meet FCTV members and make new friends!

5. The Falmouth Health Department has released some tips for protecting your home from West Nile-carrying mosquitos. One example? Drain any standing water on your property, as most mosquitos lay eggs there.
