Accused Vermont Killer Could Be On Cape Cod: Police
Leroy Headley, accused of killing his girlfriend Anako Lumumba in South Burlington, Vermont, has "extensive" ties to Cape Cod, police said.

CAPE COD — An accused Vermont murderer could be hiding out on Cape Cod, according to police. Leroy Headley, 36, of South Burlington, has "extensive family connections" to the Cape. Police said Headley shot and killed his girlfriend, Anako Lumumba, 33, in South Burlington. Her body was discovered May 3 after a tip from one of Headley's family members in Falmouth.
Police on Tuesday said they expanded the search for Headley to Cape Cod. He may be operating a 2017 blue Nissan Pathfinder with Vermont license plates reading HBR281, police said.
