Accused Yarmouth Police Shooter Texts 'I Killed A Cop': Report
Thomas Latanowich, a "career criminal" with 125 criminal charges, was charged with murdering Yarmouth police Officer Sean Gannon April 12.

YARMOUTH, MA — The man accused of murdering a Yarmouth police officer last month admitted to the crime in texts to his girlfriend minutes after the shooting, according to a new report. The incident unfolded April 12 as Yarmouth police Officer Sean Gannon, his K-9 Nero and six Barnstable and Yarmouth officers tried to arrest Thomas Latanowich for a probation violation at a Blueberry Lane residence in Marstons Mills.
Latanowich was hiding behind insulation in the attic and shot Gannon and his K-9 after Gannon removed the insulation, according to prosecutors.
"I killed a cop. I shot a K-9," Latanowich texted his girlfriend, according to a Massachusetts State Police report obtained by WHDH.
