Anticipated Nantucket Steakhouse Closes In On Opening Day
The new steakhouse has renovated the former space of Nantucket mainstay Dune. Reservations are available now.
NANTUCKET, MA — A much-anticipated new steakhouse and martini bar concept on Nantucket will open next month, restaurant officials said.
Billie's, an American steakhouse and martini bar, will open this August at 20 Broad Street. Though no official date was provided in a news release, reservations on OpenTable are available for the weekend of Aug. 10.
Once doors do open, Billie’s will be open for lunch and dinner, with additional availability for private events.

Billie's named an executive chef this spring. Chef Steve Rhee is expected to bring "a bold, globally inspired perspective to the heart of island dining," officials said.
The space previously operated as the beloved local restaurant Dune, which was sold in 2024 after 16 years in business.

It was originally slated to open in mid-June with a complete renovation to the space.
Diners can expect steakhouse mainstays like shrimp cocktail, premium cuts of beef and chops, chicken and a lean toward the seafood traditions of New England. A martini menu will pair with the food options.
The restaurant will have three floors of dining options, which are laid out below:
- First Floor Bar & Lounge: "A moody, elegant space featuring a marble-topped bar with plush leather stools, rich wood paneling, and vintage-style globe lamps, perfect for cocktails and conversation."
- Second Floor Dining Room: "An opulent dining salon layered with jewel-toned textures, dramatic chandeliers, and custom drapery, creating an intimate setting for dinners that linger late into the evening."
- Three-Season Patio: "An open-air extension of the Billie’s experience, offering bar and dining service in a lush, sun-drenched setting designed for martini lunches and balmy island nights."
