Bourne Public Schools Warned About Student-Made Threat

The threat didn't affect the school schedule, but police did investigate a student making a recording about harming others.

BOURNE, MA — A Bourne middle school student made a threat to harm others in the school community Tuesday morning, according to Superintendent Kerri Anne Quinlan-Zhou.

Quinlan-Zhou said police notified Bourne Middle School officials about the threat around 4 a.m. According to police, the student made a recording in which they talked about potentially harming others at school.

School officials and police investigated the threat and determined it was safe to make no changes to the school day and allow classes to continue as scheduled.
