The Cape Cod Country Club in Falmouth is being converted into a large-scale solar farm, with the project recently receiving approval from the Cape Cod Conservation Commission. The project will use over 57 acres to install more than 45,000 solar panels.

The Falmouth solar project includes a battery storage facility as part of its plan. Questions remain on the exact number of sets of batteries, inverters, transformers and containment.

The project involves three solar farms, which together will generate up to 13.5 Megawatts of AC power. The project will be built in three phases.
