Cape Cod Marijuana Facility Fire In Mashpee
Massachusetts fire officials said a fire caused $25,000 worth of a damage at a new medical marijuana facility in Mashpee.

MASHPEE, MA — A fire at a new Mashpee medical marijuana facility on Friday caused $25,000 worth of damage, fire officials said. The blaze broke out Friday morning at Triple M on Echo Road.
"The fire started in a ceiling void space and caused a small fire in the attic," Massachusetts Fire Marshal Peter Ostroskey said in a statement. "Heating cables recently installed to prevent water pipes from freezing ignited nearby cellulose insulation."
The facility was scheduled to have its final inspection Friday before opening. A new opening date has yet to be determined.
