Cape Cod Tip Jar Thief Arrested: Police
Bourne police said Mary Gelsthorpe stole cash from a tip jar at The Lobster Trap restaurant.
BOURNE, MA — A Cape Cod woman accused of stealing from the tip jar of a popular seafood restaurant was arrested this week. Mary Gelsthorpe, 66, of Bourne, failed to appear in Falmouth District Court after she was charged with larceny in relation an incident at The Lobster Trap February 19. She was arrested Wednesday at her Bourne residence and later released on bond, police said.
Police said Gelsthorpe was caught on camera stealing cash from the tip jar (video below).
