Falmouth -Offshore Wind Cable / Substation Update Due

SouthCoast Wind provides the EFSB with an update on the Falmouth offshore wind connector every 45 days.

SouthCoast Wind has filed petitions to approve the construction of approximately 27.5 miles of offshore electric transmission lines in Massachusetts state waters, passing through the waters and onshore in the Town of Falmouth, at voltages ranging from 200,000 to 345,000 volts, along with a new HVDC (High Voltage Direct Current) substation in the Town of Falmouth.

SouthCoast Wind provides updates to the Massachusetts Energy Facility Siting Board approximately every forty-five days on the status of its transmission connector project, which interconnects in the Town of Falmouth. SouthCoast Wind filed its most recent update on May 23, 2025

SouthCoast Wind power purchase agreements have been postponed four times; the next deadline is December 31, 2025
