UPDATED: Two Arrested in Child Abandonment Case
A 5-year-old child was ejected from a vehicle after an attempted shoplifting at Walmart in Falmouth.

UPDATED at 8:31 a.m. Monday: Police arrested two people in connection to the child endangerment incident that happened in Falmouth on Sunday.
Falmouth Police with help from the Yarmouth Police arrested Lisa Degerolamo, 29, of Yarmouth, and Daniel McLaughlin, 29, of Yarmouth, at a West Yarmouth residence late Sunday night.

Degerolamo was charged with:
• Reckless Endangerment of a Child
• Child without a Seat Belt
• Operating with a Suspended License
• Negligent Operation of a Motor Vehicle
• Larceny over $250
McLaughlin was charged with:
• Reckless Endangerment of a Child
• Larceny over $250

The 5-year-old child is safe and in good health and the Department of Children and Families is investigating.

The Falmouth Police Department is looking for the public’s help in a search for a woman who fled the scene after trying to steal a flat-screen TV from Walmart on Sunday.
“The Falmouth Police Department is actively searching for MA. Reg. 793NA6, Blue 2004 Buick Rendezvous utility vehicle believed to be operated by Lisa Degerolamo with a last known address in West Yarmouth,” said Falmouth Police.
The woman is wanted “in connection with a child endangerment case where the vehicle fled the parking lot of Walmart after being involved in an alleged theft of a flat screen TV. As the vehicle was fleeing the scene, a small child was ejected from the vehicle due to an unsecured door that was left ajar due to the size of the television. Bystanders attempted to intervene; however the suspect returned and collected the child then fled the area.”
