Falmouth Police: Stabbing At Drug Den; Cocaine, Guns Seized

Falmouth police said a 29-year-old man was stabbed four times at an Old Barnstable Road residence that contained cocaine and guns.

FALMOUTH, MA — A man was stabbed four times at a Falmouth drug den Monday night and officers seized cocaine and guns from the residence, police said Tuesday. The victim, a 29-year-old from Mashpee, was critically wounded and transported to Falmouth Hospital and treated in the intensive care unit. His condition was not known Tuesday.

The stabbing happened at an Old Barnstable Road residence, according to Falmouth Police Lieutenant Douglas DeCosta. Officers were called to the scene for a report of a disturbance.

"Responding officers found a snow covered yard soaked in blood," DeCosta said in a statement. "Upon entering the home, officers discovered more blood."

Officers later learned someone had already transported the victim to Falmouth Hospital, DeCosta said. The occupants of the home were uncooperative, DeCosta said. One — Kenneth Teixeira, 58, of Falmouth — was arrested on obstruction and resisting arrest charges.

"The incident remains under investigation and further charges are pending," DeCosta said.
