FALMOUTH, MA — A Falmouth roadwork project is underway that will likely alter traffic until just before Memorial Day, officials said.

The project began this week at the intersection of Main Street and Scranton Avenue, something local police said is part of a scheduled improvement project that should improve safety and traffic flow.

Traffic is likely to be reduced to one lane at times, and portions of the road may be temporarily closed with delays expected.
