Falmouth Students To Protest Gun Violence With Walkout
Falmouth High School students are participating in a nationwide protest against gun violence this week.

FALMOUTH, MA — Falmouth High School students organized a walkout as part of a nationwide protest against gun violence. The walkout is scheduled for Wednesday at 10 a.m. Students at thousands of schools across the country, including more than 100 in Massachusetts, pledged to participate.
"The demonstration will last 17 minutes to commemorate the 17 students and staff members whose lives were tragically lost in the Marjorie Stoneham Douglas High School shooting," Falmouth High School students wrote in a statement. "We should be safe at school. We should be safe in our cities and towns. Our Government must take meaningful action to keep us safe and pass State and Federal gun reform legislation that address the public health crisis of gun violence. We want Congress and our State Legislature to pay attention and take note."
