Falmouth Teacher Wins Massachusetts Marine Educator Award
Falmouth High School science teacher Cheryl Milliken won the award at the Massachusetts Marine Educators Conference over the weekend.
FALMOUTH, MA — A Falmouth High School teacher earned a prestigious award for teachers in the state.
Cheryl Milliken earned the Marine Educator Award at the recent Massachusetts Marine Educators Conference held at the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution (WHOI) Quissett Campus over the weekend.
The award honors educators for their effort and performance in the teaching of marine science, Falmouth schools officials said.

"Cheryl's students built, launched, and followed Mini Boats and Ocean Drifters, campaigned about Sea Level Rise, raised Hydroponic Plants, learned about Sea Turtle Rescues, and other lessons rich in marine science," they added.
"We are so happy to see Ms. Milliken receive this very well-deserved honor."
