Lessons in classic cooking techniques will be at the core of this hands-on course along with helpful tips for the home kitchen from Chef Michael. Both novice and experienced cooks alike will learn something rewarding. The class includes tasting and recipes for Michael’s tomato and Bolognese sauces, ricotta gnocchi with sage and brown butter, green salad with shaved fennel and vinaigrette dressing, and Anise Ricotta Cookies.

Highfield’s ‘Meet the Chef’ series has been a strong and positive partnership between Highfield and chefs from local restaurants, private clubs, and catering companies since 2015. Select members from the talented culinary community provide demonstration classes and sampling of popular dishes in the Highfield kitchen. Attendees get to meet local chefs and restaurateurs as they demonstrate some of their favorite recipes and tell “stories from the stove” in the intimate Highfield Hall kitchen.
