Months-Long Falmouth Eversource Project Underway On Route 28

Work along the road includes replacing existing curbing, sidewalks, wheelchair ramps and minor traffic light updates at intersections.

FALMOUTH, MA — An Eversource Construction project is set to begin this week in Falmouth along Route 28.

The project is set to happen at various locations along the road between Falmouth Heights Road and Central Avenue, town officials said.

Work along the road includes replacing existing curbing, sidewalks, wheelchair ramps and minor traffic light updates at intersections.

The traffic light updates should improve pedestrian and motorist safety along Route 28 from Main Street and Falmouth Heights Road to Spring Bars Road and Dillingham Avenue, then at the intersection with Maravista Avenue, the intersection with Trotting Park Road and from Rebecca Ann Lane to Central Avenue, officials said.

Work was set to begin Monday with the project slated to take three to four months, with a deadline set for May 24.
