Moped Driver Prompted Shelter-In-Place At Falmouth School
Dismissal at Morse Pond in Falmouth was delayed Thursday after a man on a moped drove on school property with what appeared to be a BB gun.

FALMOUTH, MA — A man on a moped prompted a Falmouth school to shelter-in-place on Thursday, delaying dismissal time but not putting the safety of students at risk, officials said.
At about 2:45 p.m., people inside Morse Pond School were told to shelter-in-place after a man on a moped drove onto school property toward a nursing home nearby.
Officials said there appeared to be something in his hand that looked like a BB gun, prompting the move. All students were in the building at the time, and school officials contacted the Falmouth Police Department, who sent four cruisers to the school.
