Photographer Susan Moffat to Give Talk on Her Project "Chasing Coal"

Noted documentary photographer to present at next meeting of Upper Cape Camera Club at 7 pm on May 28th at the Falmouth Art Center.

Susan Moffat will give a talk on her project “Chasing Coal,” at the next meeting of the Upper Cape Camera Club (UCCC) at 7 pm on at the Falmouth Art Center, 137 Gifford Street, Falmouth. Susan’s project is based on memories and images of the coal industry and her family's past coal mining company in northeastern Pennsylvania. The ongoing project deals with the after-effects of mining and social interactions in that environment. The event is free and is open to anyone who is interested in the topic and knowing more about the Camera Club.

Susan Moffat is a fine art documentary photographer, curator and educator based in Falmouth. She's drawn to humanity and the social struggles within and searches to capture those moments in a striking light. Working in both analog and digital photography, Susan has an extensive background in teaching photography and photo history in schools in the U.S. and overseas.

From beginners to professionals, the UCCC welcomes all interested in photography. The Club's mission is to provide photographers at all levels an opportunity to develop skills and share their work in a supportive environment.
