Provincetown Ferries Open For Summer Season This Week

Boston to Provincetown ferries are set to resume service this week. Here's when you can catch a trip to Cape Cod.

PROVINCETOWN, MA — Taking a day trip or planning a long weekend to Cape Cod just got a lot easier for residents in the Boston area.

Starting Thursday, Boston to Provincetown ferries are set to resume service for the summer season.

Ferries are available through both the Bay State Cruise Company and Boston Harbor City Cruises and run from Thursday through Oct. 20.

Bay State will offer three trips to Provincetown running seven days a week starting Thursday. The times offered are below:

Boston to Provincetown

  • 8:30 a.m. departure, 10:05 a.m. arrival
  • 1 p.m. departure, 2:35 p.m. arrival
  • 5:30 p.m. departure, 7:05 p.m. arrival

Provincetown to Boston

  • 10:30 a.m. departure, 12:05 p.m. arrival
  • 3 p.m. departure, 4:35 p.m. arrival
  • 7:30 p.m. departure, 9:05 p.m. arrival

An early Monday morning ferry leaving Provincetown at 6:30 a.m. with an 8:15 a.m. arrival to Boston begins July 8 and runs through Sept. 3.

The Boston Harbor schedule is below:

Boston to Provincetown

  • 9 a.m. departure, 10:35 a.m. arrival, seven days a week all season
  • 2 p.m. to 3:35 p.m., Saturday and Sunday from May 16 to June 9 and Sept. 4 to Sept. 29, seven days a week June 10 to Sept. 3,
  • 7 p.m. to 8:45 p.m., Thursday through Sunday, June 10 to Sept. 3

Provincetown to Boston

  • 11:30 a.m. departure, 1:05 p.m. arrival, Saturday and Sunday from May 16 to June 9 and Sept. 4 to Sept. 29, seven days a week June 10 to Sept. 3,
  • 5:30 p.m. to 7:05 p.m., seven days a week all season
  • 9 p.m. to 10:45 p.m., Thursday through Sunday, June 10 to Sept. 3
