SUV Slams Into Falmouth Store

FALMOUTH, MA — An SUV crashed into a Falmouth store Wednesday afternoon.

The car crashed into Cape Cod Gold and Silver Coin, smashing the glass storefront, leaving shattered glass all over the sidewalk.

The Falmouth Fire Department says the crash happened at at 422 Main Street, just before 5 p.m. Wednesday and left significant damage to the building and vehicle.

The impact of the crash caused water to flow to the building's basement from a dislodged sprinkler head, compromising the electrical system, but the power has been secured.

There were no injuries reported.

The Falmouth Police Department is investigating the crash.
