Two Charged With Breaking Into Cars
Falmouth Police made the arrests after a suspicious person call.
Falmouth Police arrested two people for breaking into vehicles and stealing property after a suspicious person call from a Hatchville resident on Friday morning.
Police arrested Joschua Campbell, 22, of East Falmouth and Kylie Szwedko, 18, of Wareham and charged them with breaking & entering into a motor vehicle (six counts) and receiving stolen property over $250.

“At about 5:45 am Falmouth Police received a report of two suspicious persons possibly breaking into motor vehicles in the area of Brigantine Drive, Goeletta Drive, and Caravel Drive in Hatchville. When officers arrived in the area they observed a vehicle fail to stop at a stop sign without its headlights on leaving the area. A motor vehicle stop was conducted and an investigation led to the search of the vehicle.
“During the search of the vehicle, officers located several cellular phones, GPS units, sunglasses, and loose change which appeared to be consistent with motor vehicle breaks. Officers also located items from a recent commercial B&E, as well as bolt cutters and flashlights.

“Further investigation revealed that at least six unlocked motor vehicles had been entered and items stolen. As a result, Joschua Campbell will be charged with Negligent Operation Of Motor Vehicle, Number Plate Violation To Conceal Id (Attaching), Motor Vehicle Lights Violation, Uninsured Motor Vehicle, Fail To Stop (Stop Sign), Possess Burglarious Instrument, Receive Stolen Property Over $250, and B&E Vehicle Nighttime For Felony (Six Counts). Kylie Szwedko will be charged with Receive Stolen Property Over $250 and B&E Vehicle Nighttime for Felony (Six Counts).
“The investigation remains open and additional charges may be pending.”
