Viewers Of New 'Joker' In Falmouth Will Get A Phoenix Double Feature

FALMOUTH, MA — The latest Hollywood PETA spokesperson is none other than the actor of the moment.

Starting this Friday, viewers of "Joker: Folie à Deux" will get a Joaquin Phoenix double feature, as his new spot for PETA will be shown before each screening at select theaters across the country.

That includes Falmouth Cinema Pub in Falmouth and Entertainment Cinemas in South Dennis, as well as at theaters in other cities, including Los Angeles, New York, and Portland, Maine.

“In water, humans drown, just as fish suffocate on land. It’s slow and painful and frightening, and we do it to more than 1 trillion fish every year,” Phoenix says in the video. “Put yourself in their place. Try to relate.”

Screening times for the new "Joker" are scheduled for Friday and Saturday at 12:30 p.m., 3:30 p.m., 6:30 p.m., 7:30 p.m. Screenings are scheduled for Sunday at the same times, minus the 7:30 p.m. screening.
