
Bluegrass On The Lawn Highfield Hall and Gardens will present its third-annual "Bluegrass On The Lawn" concert at the historic home. Three different bluegrass bands will perform old-fashioned, foot-stomping bluegrass music. Various local vendors including Cape Cod Beer will be in attendance. Admission is free to the public, but good-will donations are always accepted. When and where: 3 to 7 p.m. on Sunday at Highfield Hall.
Canine Pool Party Cool off your furry friend from the summer heat in complimentary kiddie pools at the Falmouth Dog Park. When and where: 1 p.m. on Saturday at the dog park. The dog park is located on 257 Brick Kiln Rd. between Gifford Street and Sandwich Road.
Aquarium Collection Walks Join the Woods Hole Science Aquarium's team of naturalists as they embark on a walk down area beaches to observe and possibly collect new wildlife for the aquarium. The public can learn more about animal identification, life in the salt marches and how to properly collect animals. The event is free and the staff will provide coolers, buckets, nets and one-time parking permits. Registration is required, and you can sign up in the aquarium lobby. When and where: 9 a.m. on Thursday.
Jane Austen Tea Celebration Come celebrate the 200th anniversary of Jane Austen's "Pride and Prejudice" at a classic afternoon tea that explores the themes, characters and author's other works. Elizabeth Bennet, Emma Woodhouse, and the leading ladies of Regency England will perform. English-style tea will be provided by Molly's Tea House and chocolates will be provided by Ghelfi's Candies. The event is $15 for members and $20 for non-members. When and where: 1 p.m. on Saturday at the Falmouth Museums on the Greens.
