Zac Brown Band, In Between Days, Sarah Sherman: MA Weekend Events

MASSACHUSETTS — It isn't so much a question of what there is to do in the Boston area and beyond, but rather, what should locals do?

Welcome to Patch's latest weekly roundup of highlight-worthy events across the city and surrounding areas. We've compiled them into one, easy-to-follow list, for your weekend planning.

And to take in all the big events of this week, planning will be needed.

Take Saturday, when In Between Days in Quincy will be headlined by Modest Mouse but also feature sets from Sunny Day Real Estate, The Beths and other big names in indie and alternative rock. Then there's Zac Brown Band at Fenway Park on the same day, and even underground hip-hop favorite Jay Critch at The Middle East.

And that's just Saturday. On Sunday, two Saturday Night Live fixtures in Sarah Sherman and Punkie Johnson will perform at different venues in the city while a stacked lineup of The All-American Rejects, New Found Glory, The Starting Line and The Get Up Kids all perform at MGM Music Hall.

As for Sunday, all eyes turn to Cape Cod for the 2023 Falmouth Road Race, which features some of the world's best distance runners, including gold medalist Matthew Centrowitz. Plus, remember In Between Days? The second day of the festival is headlined by Lord Huron with other performances by Phantogram, Trampled by Turtles, Cautious Clay and more.
