2018 Foxborough Election Primary Results

Find out who is moving on to November's general election.

FOXBOROUGH, MA — If you were expecting any surprises in Foxborough during the 2018 primary election, you were surely disappointed.

Republican Governor Charlie Baker has defeated Republican primary opponent in Scott Lively. Baker will now face Democrat Jay Gonzalez. In Foxborough, Baker beat Lively 746 votes to 379 and Gonzalez beat Bob Massie 706 to 369.

In one of the more anticipated races, Democratic Secretary of State William Galvin soundly beat Boston City Councilor Josh Zakim, taking 1,021 votes in Foxborough to Zakim's 333.

Democratic U.S. Senator Elizabeth Warren's general election opponent will be Republican state Rep. Geoff Diehl. The Whitman Republican beat John Kingston and Beth Lindstrom and picked up 573 votes in Foxborough to Kingston's 226 and Lindstrom's 316.

Democratic Congressman Joseph Kennedy III's held off primary opponent Gary Rucinski. He earned 1,268 votes in Foxborough while Rucinski received 101.

Democratic state Senator Paul Feeney will face Republican Jacob Ventura of Attleboro in November for the second time in about a year. Feeney slightly edged Ventura in last October's special election. Both candidates were unopposed Tuesday.

Republican state Rep. Jay Barrows was unopposed Tuesday night and will not have a Democratic opponent in November.
