Ex-Patriot Trent Brown Accused Of Domestic Violence

Trent Brown, the stout tackle who protected Tom Brady's blindside during the Patriots' 2018 Super Bowl run, faces accusations of domestic violence in a civil lawsuit filed by his ex-girlfriend.
The suit, filed this week in Almaeda County Superior Court, alleges Brown choked, slapped and punched the mother across three instances starting in March.
Brown denied the accusations in a Twitter statement.

"I am aware that my ex-girlfriend has filed a civil suit against me," Brown tweeted Wednesday. "I deny the claims. They are false. I believe in the court system where I will clear my name. I will not be making any further comment at this time."
The lawsuit said after Brown slapped the woman in the face in June, she filed a police report. After she later threatened to leave with their son, he allegedly threatened to shoot her.

Brown, 26, is in the first year of a four-year, $66 million deal with Oakland. He is the highest-paid offensive lineman in the NFL.
Brown started every game at left tackle during New England's championship season last year.
