Foxboro Teacher Indicted After Arrest On Child Porn Charges

FOXBORO, MA — A Foxboro High School teacher who was arrested on child exploitation and pornography charges last month, has been indicted by a federal grand jury, prosecutors said in a statement Friday.
Thomas Davis, 41, of Mansfield, was indicted on counts of possessing and receiving child pornography on Thursday, according to federal prosecutors.
During a warranted search of his home in late August, the FBI says they found 40 images on Davis' laptop involving children under the age of 12-years-old.

Court documents say an FBI investigation was first launched after a report surfaced that Davis showed a video to someone depicting him having sex with an underage student. That student told investigators that Davis claimed the boy was one of his students.
According to the FBI report, during an interview Davis admitted to having child pornography on his computer, giving law enforcement the password to his computer. Though he denied, "ever touching a child in a sexually inappropriate manner."

Each charge carries a sentence of up to 20 years in prison and fines of up to $250,000, prosecutors said. It was not clear if Davis had an attorney who could speak on the charges.
